What is the purpose of the RewirEd Summit?

Our vision is to rewire education for a prosperous and sustainable future. We aim to ensure that education and learning are at the center of human development and investment by bringing in new actors from different sectors and improving collaboration amongst existing efforts, to unlock new solutions and improve existing ones.

Given that the RewirEd Summit will take place during Expo 2020 Dubai, we are uniquely positioned to leverage the platform in order to facilitate collaboration between unlikely allies.

The Summit aims to accomplish the following outcomes:

  • Encourage the demand for change by activating and bringing together new and diverse voices in a global, future-focused debate about education.
  • Engage policy and decision makers by leveraging the platform approach to amplify the voices of system leaders who are willing to take action to meet the shifting demands in education and learning, and encourage receptiveness to change in others.
  • Drive action by showing that a new way is possible by designing and demonstrating a set of provocations and experiments at different levels of the education system, that encourage new collaborations between new actors in a number of different global and country contexts.
  • Align and increase collaboration in the international education ecosystem by bridging divides and galvanizing the ecosystem to work together to drive long-term change.
